Happy Mid-Autumn Festival

The Chinese celebrate the Mid-Autumn festival on October 1st this year. In China, gift giving is an important part of building and maintaining relationships. During the Mid-Autumn festival elaborately wrapped moon cakes are gifted to foster new friendships and to strengthen existing friendships. Mooncakes are sent to relatives, school teachers, business partners as well as potential and existing business clients. The round shape of the moon and the mooncake symbolize the reunion of family and friends.
