Many Hindus in India celebrate the brother-sister bond in an annual festival know as Raksha Bandhan. On this day girls ceremoniously tie a rakhi or thread, made of cotton or silk on her brother’s right wrist.  The rakhi or thread symbolises affection, love and protection from harm. In return a brother gives a gift or cash to his sister and promise to look out for her in the year ahead.  The Raksha Bandhan festival is celebrated on August 3rd this year. Culture Buff Indian Values interactive games leverage visual culture scenarios to teach foreigners about Indian cultural values. Our games can be trainer facilitated or used as a self-directed learning tool.
