British Tradition – Henley Royal Regatta

Henley Royal Regatta is an international rowing regatta held annually on the river Thames by the town of Henley-on-Thames, England since 1839. It takes place this year from 28th of June to 3rd of July. Henley Royal Regatta is the best-known regatta in the world and attracts thousands of visitors over the week. The regatta holds over 300 races and regularly attracts Olympic competitors and international crews. Races are head-to-head knock out competitions, raced over a course of 1 mile 550 yards.  Temple island marks the start of the famous Henley Royal Regatta Course. Henley Royal Regatta is a quintessentially British event and a highlight of both the summer sporting calendar and social season.
